Beautiful Tulips on Temple Square

This is a tulip on steroids.

This is our photo on our desktop

So Many Varieties of Tulips

May Visitors

Nancy & Larry & Terrell DeGrange came to visit on May 11.
The next week the tulips were pulled out.

We took Katelyn, Kaleb, Carter & Emma Rasmussen to lunch while Jody & Kirk went to the Salt Lake Temple for a marriage of Kirk's neice.  Stopped at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building on the way to the food court.

Went to the Dinosaur Play Park after lunch.
 This is a favorite place.

Another beautiful day on Temple Square!

Visited Mom Williams in Ogden

 It was a beautiful afternoon.
We took her outside on the patio of the Aspen Care Center.

She reminds us of Queen Elizabeth with her hat.
What a cute lady she is!

Trip home to Mesa Arizona

April 11, 2013
Happy Birthday Todd

Arrived in Mesa in time to take Todd, Kalie & Kesslyn to
Joes Bar B Q for his birthday dinner.  (Kalie took the picture)

Kesslyn is almost a year old.
We got our mission call a year ago on the day she was born.
She likes to suck her thumb just like her Dad used to do when he was a baby.

Lily Jean Eggers - 6 weeks old

Lily's blessing day.
This dress was made by Grandma Dot's  Aunt Rhea.
This dress is 61 years old.
Jeanna wore it when she was blessed also.
She was very beautiful.
She was so good the whole day.

April pictures

Our last housing adventure!

Elder & Sister Matthews, Elder & Sister Taylor (our replacements)  Elder & Sister Bruce Larsen are in the very back.  Our awesome Young Elders!

The truck is full of 5 drawer dressers.  Lots of  3 way light bulbs from Home Depot! (Forgot there were 2 lightbulbs per box)

We enjoyed getting to know some of the Young Elders.

This was an interesting apartment.  A curtain covered this space above the cabinets.   This is where the Senior missionary couple stored their Christmas decorations.  But they forgot to take this with them when they moved out.  We were surprised when we took the curtain down.   So we called Pam & Byde Fuller who just came the 1st of March and did not have any Christmas decorations.

Now they have a Christmas tree, sign, lights, etc, etc, etc!  We were so happy they came and got all this stuff so we didn't have to take care of it!
Missionaries are so happy with FREE things!

More free things from the monthly SWAP MEET.
Missionaries going home donate the things they don't want and the new and not so new missionaries reuse it.
One man's trash is another man's treasure!
We have a lot of fun at these meetings.

April General Conference Sunday Morning Session

Byde Fuller & Boyd served together for 10+ years in the Mesa Central Stake as Clerk & Executive Secretary.  The Fullers brought Conference tickets with them for several sessions.  President Ken Smith sat in the section we were in since he got tickets from Byde.  Each Stake gets a few tickets for different sessions.  This is the first time that Byde ever took tickets for himself or family.  We really enjoy having them in our mission.  Very fun!
